Why This Reference Exists
North Carolina makes much arrest and booking information available, yet the path can split between a jail application, a booking feed, an arresting agency, the clerk, and state corrections. The Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office operates the local detention route. The Transylvania County Detention Center provides the county roster and photo-bearing detail view. The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction covers state offenders and public supervision records.
This reference gathers those official paths, explains the difference between a current confinement and a recent admit, and points to the court route for dispositions. It does not store official records, copy booking photos, or decide what a charge means. An arrest is an accusation. A later court result can change the picture.
What Readers Can Find
The main pages organize the county’s actual systems and the limits found in the research.
- The home page explains the jail roster, Citizen Connect booking windows, records requests, North Carolina law, and custody-state differences.
- Wanted Fugitives describes the Sheriff and app routes, CrimeStoppers contact, and the safe way to address a possible warrant question.
- Arrest News maps Transylvania Times, WLOS, WNC Times, and unofficial county-local indexes without treating stories as convictions.
- Brevard and Rosman pages explain city routing, municipal-source gaps, county booking, and records requests.
Official sources lead. Third-party pages can be stale, incomplete, or mislabeled, so every record should be checked with its originating agency and the court where relevant.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference, not a North Carolina government office and not affiliated with the Sheriff, Detention Center, courts, corrections department, or any other public agency. Only the responsible office can confirm current custody, release, charges, or the status of a record.
- We cannot release, move, or hold a person in custody.
- We cannot post bond, schedule jail visits, or send money.
- We cannot provide legal advice or promise an expunction.
- We cannot guarantee that a phone number, fee, address, or portal detail remains current.
For a current custody answer, contact the Sheriff or detention office. For a state record, use NCDAC. For a case outcome, use the court clerk or Judicial Branch.
Search Partner Disclosure
Some search boxes are powered by outside providers. Those providers set their own results, terms, and pricing. If a visitor follows a tool to a paid signup, a referral fee may be earned. That commercial relationship does not make the provider a government source, and it does not give control over the provider’s records or decisions.
